Use Google Apps For Your Business + See Video

We all know that Google has become the leading figure in search engine tools, but the thing that most people are unaware of are the valuable business tools that Google has available for free. I’m not talking about Google Earth or Google Maps, I am talking about Google Apps. This free tool offers users the ability to create free email accounts, share files, create schedules, and communicate with people in real time. Although most of these tools are used for personal use, businesses should look into Google Apps. The price is right and it is one valuable piece of software. 

Gmail: With Gmail businesses are able to create email accounts free of charge. Sure the email address will have “@gmail.com” attached to it, but it’s a good alternative if you don’t want to pay big bucks for a custom email address when Google offers a solution for free. Gmail also has enough storage for your email needs, excellent spam control and the user friendly interface makes this tool a valuable resource. 

Google Docs: Google Docs allows individuals to share files and store data on the internet free of charge. Most businesses require files to be shared over the internet and Google Docs is an excellent way to do that. Business owners can create files, make changes to them, and republish them online. 

Google Calendar: With Google Calendar you can manage your time better than ever. You can schedule tasks, set due dates, and use time more efficiently. This tool also lets individuals share schedules with others making it easier for people to collaborate with each other. This again comes at the amazing price of *free*. 

Google Talk: Talk is perhaps the most valuable tool that business owners should use in the day to day running of their business. This tool allows individuals to instant message one another from anywhere in the world in real time. Employees and business owners can conduct meetings from a computer anywhere in the world. This means more business can be done with more flexibility. Google Talk will allow businesses to conduct company meetings, allow employees to collaborate and generally stay in contact more efficiently.

How To Make A Fortune From Someone Else’s Product Launch

I look at how people respond to marketing. And I’ve discovered something interesting over the years that I want to share with you as it relates to building your internet business.

Hot topics and trends come along regularly. There’s always a new “in” thing making an appearance on the radar screen. And whenever there’s a new rage, there will be marketers who jump on the bandwagon.

That can pay off big for YOU if you’re smart.

Let me explain.

What happens when a new trend or technique or tool surfaces?

*** People begin to talk about it.***

Marketers begin convincing people why they need it.
Consumers tell their stories. Discussions take place. Hype builds. Sometimes controversy breaks out. An education process unfolds.

Through it all … DEMAND increases.

Now, here’s where you come along.

You piggyback on the popularity of the latest big hit by creating a small report on the topic. You get the benefit of other marketers creating hungry leads for your offer without them even knowing it.

Let me give you an example -

EXAMPLE

When John Reese released Traffic Secrets it was a huge success.
He sold over a million dollars worth of product in one twenty-four hour period. However, at a $997.00 asking price, it was out of reach for many consumers.

But…

What if YOU had decided to write a 15 page small report entitled, “Free Traffic Secrets” and offered it for $20 … do you think you would have had any takers? Of course!

Why? Because every marketer on the planet was talking about the need for web site traffic so they could build interest in John’s course. They were creating hungry leads for your offer without them even knowing it.

All of these marketers expertly and persuasively pointed out the necessity, benefits and usages of getting web site traffic. They, in essence, would have created demand for the TOPIC of your small report.

1. Many of those that couldn’t afford John’s high-ticket product would likely buy your small report because the end result of getting site traffic was something they had been told repeatedly they needed!

2. Many of those who could afford John’s high-ticket product would also likely buy your small report because of the same reason AND they would like to know what you might offer differently than John.

Do you see how powerful this is?

Even as I type this lesson out, I have received DOZENS of emails today announcing a new co-registration product that everyone’s talking about.

I could spend a few hours this evening writing a small report on the same topic and sell it like crazy tomorrow because of everything that’s being said about the subject today.

So, what’s the lesson for you to learn here -

**The surest way to create a hot-selling small report is to pick a topic related to that which everyone is talking about.***

You know, it doesn’t matter what “market” you’re in, chances are you see the same kinds of outbreaks that I see in “internet marketing” circles …

* Major product launches
* New technologies and tools
* Fresh research
* Innovative features and improvements
* Ground-breaking news
* Hot topics of discussion
* Best-selling books
* Interest-grabbing magazine articles
* Emerging trends

The list could go on and on, right?

It shouldn’t come as a big surprise that you need to monitor what’s going on around you, specifically looking for the latest topic everyone’s talking about.

You can do this by regularly browsing 4 trend and event “hot spots”…

1. Active Forums. Find at least one ACTIVE forum related to your market and regularly visit it to look for ideas. Keyword here is “active”. The ideal forum will have a number of participants who regularly post messages.

2. News Feeds. You can begin with Google.com’s news center at http://news.google.com.
You should also look for a news feed or site that is specific to your field of interest. For example: I regularly visit http://ChristianHeadlines.com to stay on top of events related to some of my Christian sites.

3. Article Directories. Spend a few minutes at your favorite article directory, focusing specifically on the NEWEST articles posted and the TOP RECENT articles read. I regularly check http://goarticles.com.

4. Competitor’s Lists. You’ll also want to “spy” on what your competition is doing by joining their lists. When a major competitor begins highlighting certain topics in their content (I.E. “articles”) and / or releases or promotes a specific product, it’s a good indication that you should pay attention.

All of these things allow you to capitalize on the current buzz!

Create small reports based on these buzz-worthy topics.

Most people think of a business person as either some kind of poker-faced accountant or some hyped-up extroverted salesman/woman. You rarely read about about an imaginative business person and less often hear of one who is highly creative, artistic, and visionary.

The popular concept of a business person, as publicized by the media, is someone who is rather dull and linear in their thinking. They are more often referred to as “hard-nosed” and “practical”. In fact, many business people themselves buy into this mistaken stereotype.

Imagination and creativity is at the heart of all business success. While corporations themselves may appear to be based on stringent rules and regulations, the entrepreneurs who started these companies have all, without exception, been highly creative and imaginative individuals. The corporations that remain innovative and progressive continue to encourage freedom of imaginative expression within their corporate structure… Apple being a prime example.

Napoleon Hill, in his famous book “Think And Grow Rich” goes into great detail about the influential role of imagination in business success.

He talks about two types of imaginative faculties: “synthetic” imagination and “creative” imagination. Through “synthetic” imagination, a person arranges old concepts, ideas, plans, and business models into new combinations. Technically, whilst nothing new is created, the fresh, new approach can yield amazing results.

For example, the self-help grocery store where customers do all the work of shopping is now very familiar to us, in fact we would be hard pushed to remember when things were any different. However, the original business model was to have people come up to the counter of a shop and present their list to the sales assistant who would then run around the store and fetch items for them. Now, with the use of aisles, clear directional signing and shopping carts, the job of a store is to keep stocked and check people out.

In fact, even this idea of checking people out is becoming obsolete, with many stores now offering people the option to check themselves out. Thus, the customer does all the work. Pulling out and wheeling the shopping cart, selecting products and checking themselves out. The result of this arrangement is that the store is more profitable as it can accommodate many more customers and the customer is happier as they are in total control of their shopping experience.

The “creative” imagination borders on the mystical… Here is how Napoleon Hill describes it:

“Through the faculty of creative imagination, the finite mind of man has direct communication with Infinite Intelligence. It is the faculty through which ‘hunches’ and ‘inspirations’ are received. It is by this faculty that all basic, or new ideas are handed over to man. It is through this faculty that individuals may ‘tune in’ or communicate with the subconscious minds of other men.

Business is far from being a game of conservative rule-playing. It is alive with imaginative ideas of how to best serve customers and the marketplace, an aspect of doing business which is seldom mentioned in the media.

As an entrepreneur, start to exercise your imagination, be more creative in how you structure your services and products, put a new spin on how you serve customers. The more you apply creative thinking to your business, not only will you stand apart from your competitors, you will see many more ways to make money, create new channels of supply and demand in your marketplace and ultimately become more profitable.

The Four Letter Word Smart eBay Powersellers Swear By!

That word is ‘topo’, short for topographical, which represents eBay’s most popular and profitable product type in the category of Vintage Postcards.

Topographical postcards (sometimes simply called ‘view cards’) depict geographical locations like towns, cities, villages.

There’s a very easy living to be made selling vintage topographical postcards on eBay, especially if you focus on buying low cost topographical postcards at flea markets and boot sales, and resell those postcards on eBay.

This does not mean that you should ignore other types of postcard, but I suggest you start to learn the simple process of selling the most profitable topographical type first.

Here’s an example of the sometimes staggering profits possible selling view postcards on eBay that are not unique and not even all that rare.

* 1903 EALING Singapore to Hong Kong & Hainan Postcard - £170.35 (approximately $340)
* MONTANA Marsh School, Evelyn Cameron c.1910 RP Postcard - £165.34 (approximately $330)
* RPPC New Salem Kansas Santa Fe Railroad Depot Postcard - £216.18 (approximately $431)

These are particularly excellent prices and not every listing is going to pull that level of profit. However, postcards are among the most collectable items and they virtually sell themselves. They rank third most collectable item worldwide, just behind coins and stamps. They’re not the bits of worthless paper many people imagine, in fact postcards many flea market visitors may consider overpriced at a few pennies can fetch double figure, sometimes three figure sums on eBay.

In the early days of postcard collecting (called ‘deltiology’) almost every family had its own album, sometimes several. These heirlooms were cherished and passed through the generations, postcards were rarely destroyed or lost. Consequently many very early postcards remain in undamaged condition today, usually still in their original albums. So you can buy hundreds or thousands of postcards in just one day at specialist postcard auctions and non-specialist sales, especially complete household clearances from elderly deceased collectors. You can actually buy hoards of postcards in just a few minutes, where traders in other antiques and collectible niches take weeks or months to acquire stock to even contemplate making the kind of money you could soon be making.

Postcards are usually all the same shape, roughly the same weight, making them extremely easy to pack and very inexpensive to post. You won’t have to waste time looking for boxes of varying sizes to pack and post your products, as happens to eBayers selling oddly shaped items. All you need are a few cardboard backed envelopes. Postcards also fit into any local post box so Post Office visits are few, unlike shipping larger more fragile items that need to be individually weighed and the handling calculated.

Because so few listing details vary between postcards – usually just location, age, publisher, postmark - you can create a template to suit every postcard you ever list from now to forever, where only a few details need changing each time.

One massive advantage is that people who collect one postcard, typically collect lots of postcards, so you could develop a huge customer base of people who you can sell to time and time again.

It is the ideal, stress-free way to earn big profits on eBay.

The 5 Biggest Six-Figure Profit Secrets Most Bloggers Don’t Know!

Some cynics claim that blogging is a fad and is dying off, solid data proves otherwise! And indications show that the trend is still in the very early stages of growth and is going to go ballistic!

o Dec 1997: Online diarist Jorn Barger coins the term “Weblog” for “logging the Web.”
o April 1999: Programmer Peter Merholz shortens “Weblog” to “blog.”
o July 1999: Pitas launches the first free build your own blog web tool.
o August 1999: Pyra releases Blogger which becomes the most popular web based blogging tool to date, and popularizes blogging with mainstream internet users.
o Jan 2000: Boing Boing is born.

Fast forward…

o June 2003: Google launches AdSense, matching ads to blog content.
o Sept 2003: Jason Calacanis founds Weblogs, Inc., which eventually grows into a portfolio of 85 blogs.
o Dec 2004: Merriam-Webster declares “blog” the “Word of the Year.”
o Jan 2005: Study finds that 32 million Americans read blogs.
o Oct 2005: Calacanis sells his blogs to AOL for $25 million.
o Dec 2005: An estimated $100 million worth of blog ads are sold this year.

All of this took place well before most of today’s web users had actually heard the term “blog”.

In December 2007 blog search engine Technorati tracked more than 112 million individual blogs on the blogosphere, confirming that blogging has become and is set to continue as a massive, mainstream trend.

Not surprisingly, many blog owners look to converting their online journals into some form of income generator. This begs the question; Is it possible to earn money (even big money) from blogging?

Results show that as more people figure out ways to monetize their blogging activities, it is very possible to generate an income from a tightly targeted niche blog.

While many bloggers will find they can make some money from their blogs, it is a fact of life that there will be a few who just “Get It” and apply techniques which blast their blogs into money-making hyperdrive.

One such person who has done this is UK based 22-year-old Rob Benwell who claims to earn six-figures from his blogging empire.

Rob maintains that his massive success is down to five simple but little used techniques (he calls the 5 Blogging Commandments) which have literally transformed his blogs into non-stop cash machines.

1. “Most people are still on the SEO kick,” he explains. “They stuff keywords into posts and go overboard trying to fool the search engines. Blogs should be more organic and imitate nature. Google,Yahoo and MSN are looking for quality sites by real people, not someone spitting out hundreds of blogs each month filled with keywords and ads.”

2. “Every post should offer visitor value. This doesn’t mean it has to change their lives or anything. Even posts about a related article with a link or a product review are good. Blogs filled with RSS vomit don’t offer value and won’t last.”

3. “Your blog should have people coming back again and again. RSS buttons help and an opt-in newsletter that offers more than just updates is always a good idea. The number one way to get people to come back is to give excellent, likable content.”

4. “After extensive tests I’ve seen huge differences in blogs that are kept up to date against others that don’t get new (or very few) posts. You don’t have to post every day or even every week, but make sure you don’t just set them up and forget about them because they will die off.”

5. “If you are after making the most money you can from a blog, then the most important decision you make will be the market you blog for. So make sure you research it well beforehand.”

Rob has written a step by step blueprint which lays bare everything he does to build long term, profitable niche blogs, and although from a grammatical standpoint, it could be improved, the information in this publication goes way beyond anything else that is available regarding turning a standard blog into a fully focussed cash generating mechanism.

Don’t let anyone steal YOUR DREAM!

Do you have any dream killers in your life? Dream killers are those people who discourage you when you are trying to change your life. It’s amazing how many people tell their friends and family that they cannot succeed. This is especially true when you are trying to do something “outside of the box” like making money online or starting your own business.

The main argument these dream killers have is that your goals are unrealistic. They will advise you to be more “practical”, and pretend they are offering you sound advice.

Many of them believe they are doing a favor by discouraging you. They think they are helping you live a life in “your best interest”. But really, they are encouraging you to a live a life without vision.

If you are really motivated toward success, doing anything less than your ambitious goals will be unfulfilling for you. You end up wondering what could have been. You continue to live your life for other people, instead of yourself.

Your friends and family who discourage you from trying something new are only giving you insight into what they would do in your position. They do not have the vision and the drive that you do. They are only reacting out of their own fear.

Other people take the path of least resistance, but that does not mean that you have to. Your goals are important to you for a reason. You will only be happy when you achieve them. Giving up on your goals because other people think they are unrealistic is no way to live your life.

How to you overcome the dream killers in your life?

You may want to start with choosing who you spend your time with. If you want to be self-motivated, you’ve got to spend time with other people who are self-motivated. The same goes for the other aspects of success.

If the dream killers in your life are close relatives, and long time friends, try keeping your business goals to yourself for a while until you get going. By the time you’ve had a little success, they will probably be a lot more supportive.

Finally, the best way to overcome the dream killers in your life is to be confident in yourself and your goals. If you are truly confident in yourself and your ideas, then no one can stop you.

Keep your goals and dreams in front of you all the time. They will be your motivation, when some of your “well-meaning friend” try to discourage you.

How To Save Time Online

One of the biggest problems anyone faces online involves too much to do and not enough time to get it done! I’m not talking about the casual Internet user who jumps online as a form of entertainment to check email, use Skype, or watch YouTube videos. I’m referring to the ever-growing number of people who use the Internet for much of their business activities. If you fall into that category, the following tips will easily help you save considerable time online.

Filter Email - Filtering email rates #1 on your time-saving list. In virtually every survey ever done on the subject, email wins hands-down as the #1 most time-consuming activity. To save time, you should separate your personal and business email with separate accounts and check the personal account once a day (saves 10 minutes per day). You should also use a commercial spam filter such as Spamarrest.com to cut down on the spam you must wade through to find messages that do need your attention (saves 15 to 30 minutes per day).

Password Organizers - Using a password manager like Roboform.com or KeePass.info (free) cuts down on time spent searching your desk or email program looking for usernames and passwords for accounts you don’t use very often. Secure and immediate access to all your passwords will save you at least 10 to 15 minutes per day.

Pen and Paper - Always operate with a list of prioritized tasks so you know what you should work on at any given moment. A simple, prioritized list on a piece of “real” paper will reclaim at least 10 minutes per day in wasted time.

Just Say “No” - Distractions abound on the Internet. New products, new services, new videos, new jokes, new distractions come at us on a minute-by-minute basis. Yet those distractions rob us of the precious time we desperately need to accomplish our own objectives. If something new comes along, let it sit for a day, or even just an hour, and then make a decision whether or not to give it your time. This will easily save you at least 15 to 20 minutes a day in lost time.

My best advice involves operating with a strong purpose when doing anything online. I’ve shown you simple strategies here to save massive amounts of time every day. If you operate with a strong purpose, you’ll save even more. Why? Because a strong purpose helps you filter out any time-wasting activities that won’t get you where you want to go.

One aspect of making money online that often gets overlooked is providing a service for the millions of website and blog owners. Let’s look at this closer.

Most website and blog owners do not have the knowledge, time, or money to do everything it takes to run an online business these days. This can be good news for you.

You can make money by providing a service that solves a problem for all of these webmasters. If you are smart you will get a pen and piece and paper and start writing after you finish reading this.

What do you know how to do that you could do for someone. One Internet marketer started an article writing company a couple of years ago for his son. They ended up developing it into a full time income.

Another service broke off from that. The service is writing and submitting articles because they had so many requests to market the articles they were writing for their customers.

Then add a PayPal button for ordering.

Finally join several Internet marketing forums and set up a signature file letting people know what you offer. Include a link back to your sales page.

As your business grows start a testimonial page and ask for referrals from your satisfied customers.

You will probably never get rich providing a service, but you can make a very good living over time, and you get to stay at home which beats going to work everyday for someone else.
